Ferishka is an Economist within the Africa Research team at Standard Bank Group (Stanbic Bank). Her primary coverage includes the DRC, Malawi, and Rwanda and eSwatini. She is part of a larger team conducting macroeconomic research on African countries. The team's research is also aimed at identifying potentially profitable trading opportunities in the growing African Eurobond market. She advises the bank's clients and senior management at group-level and in various in-country offices on strategy. She holds a Bachelor of Business Science (Finance) degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and an MBA specialising in Banking, from the University of London. After joining Standard Bank on the Risk Graduate Programme in 2012, she spent sixyears in various roles within Risk, then she joined Research in 2018.
